
In the
Indian Ocean are located about 100 small islands on 1.300.000 sq/Km :
the Seychelles
Islands
.
The
Seychelles Islands are composed of granite islands and coral islands
located on the Equator at a few thousand of miles of Mauritius Island
and Reunion Island.
The
Seychelles Islands benefit of an exceptional tropical climate, but are
out of a cyclonic zone .They are all different by their flora and fauna.
The
Seychelles Government has always protected the ecology.
Furthermore, some islands are still virgin and are became true sanctuary
for the flora and fauna .The most known is Aldabra.
Some
island belong to the "Royal Society For Nation Conservation " under
the world patrimony.
The
inhabited islands are very beautiful, the white sandy beaches are always
immaculate and sometime you can see dolphins near the coastal road or
some marine tortoise running aground to lay.
A few word of
history
Discovered by the Portuguese in 1609, it’s only with the coming of the
Captain Lazare Picault , sent by the le General Mahe de La Bourdonnais
in 1742, that the Seychelles islands interest a big country.
Then, the uninhabited archipelago became French.
It was governed by different administrator like Pierre Poivre until
1811.
At this date , the Seychelles Islands became a Britannic colony .
In 1976, the Republic of Seychelles is proclaimed.
The first President MANCHAM is overthrew the 5 June 1977 , date of the
state knock which place Mr Albert RENE at the head of the state with a
unique party until 1993.
During this year, a new constitution is approved by the people of
Seychelles, and start the democratic multiple parties
